Seattle Juvenile DUI Attorney

Washington DUI Lawyer

While Seattle is known for having very strict DUI laws, we are fairly lenient in regards to DUIs against minors. Many states will inflict full DUI penalties for any juveniles who have a BAC anywhere above 0.0%. In Seattle though, if you test anywhere between 0.02% and 0.07%, you can be charged with a Minor DUI. Minor DUIs are misdemeanor crimes which have a maximum sentence of 90 days jail and a $1000 fine. If you have a high enough BAC and enough evidence against you, a prosecutor may try to charge you with a regular DUI, which can have sentencing as strict as a full year in jail and a $5000 fine.

When you hire a skilled Seattle Juvenile DUI attorney from The Law Offices of Phillip G. Sayles, you are helping to ensure that you, or your child, is getting excellent representation. Depending on the circumstances, we will push for the charges to be dropped or reduced or, even fight in court to prove our client's innocence.

As with any DUI charge, a juvenile DUI will require an Administrative License Review separate from the court hearing, which may result in a license suspension. Having a Seattle DUI attorney represent you at your hearing can mean the difference between losing driving privileges for a year and maintaining your license.
